When Tenille Townes was 15, she started a concert fundraiser in her hometown to benefit her local youth shelter, The Sunrise House. She put together a sponsor letter, had her mom drive her around town until enough people said yes to participating, and invited a few of her music friends to play a show. On their very first night her town raised $30,000, which helped keep the shelter’s doors open.
The event is just wrapped up its 12th year, and has raised over $2 Million. Tenille’s dream for Big Hearts for Big Kids is to inspire people in their OWN hometowns to make a difference, and so she’s embarking upon her inaugural Big Hearts On The Road, where she’s partnering with fans around the country to host a concert and raise money for a cause close to their hearts. She brings her guitar and a heart for helping others and the fan brings their cause and a desire to make an impact in their community.
